Short bio
Vincenzo Nava is a Senior Researcher at Tecnalia R&I and BCAM. He earned his Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering and Stochastic Mechanics in May 2009 from the "Mediterranea" University of Reggio Calabria, Italy, where he also completed his B.Sc. (2003) and M.Sc. (2005) in Civil Engineering and Hydraulics. From 2006 to 2010, he was part of the Department of Mechanical, Civil, and Environmental Engineering at Rice University (Houston, USA), contributing to various projects focused on stochastic mechanics related to floating bodies. In 2007, he undertook an internship at BP America, Houston. Between 2009 and 2013, he served as a contract instructor at the "Mediterranea" University of Reggio Calabria (Italy), instructing M.Sc. students in Environmental Engineering, specifically teaching Environmental Hydraulics and Watercourse Management. In 2012, he conducted research activities at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal, within the Department of Naval Architecture (CENTEC). Since 2013, Vincenzo Nava has been a valuable member of the Energy and Environment Division at Tecnalia Research and Innovation, specializing in Offshore Renewable Energies. He joined BCAM in 2017.
